Everybody wants to lead a happy and healthy life. A balanced diet and regular exercise is essential to lead a healthy life. However, ailments come uninvited. There are various infections and its symptoms go unnoticed at times. For example, most individuals with athlete’s foot have no symptoms at all and do not know they even have an infection. Many think that they have dry skin on the soles of their feet and it produces itching and burning sensations. I have been told that the athlete’s foot is a very common skin infection and it is caused by fungus. The foot funghi that causes athlete’s foot is called Trichophyton.

I could not believe my ears when my friend told me that he has athlete’s foot. As I understand he is a very health conscious individual and give priority to his health matters above anything else. He had told me a few days back he had the infection on his feet and that it is negligible. I told him that the feet or other areas of the body stay moist, warm, and become irritated; it is the best place for fungus to thrive which may infect the upper layers of the skin. I am aware that fungi infections can occur almost anywhere on the body. I advised my friend not to get panicky as it is not a serious problem and to consult his doctor immediately.
