Children and clutter are inseparable. A single toy box or cupboard might be all right for a toddler’s possessions, but a few birthdays and Christmas presents soon change all that. A child’s interests change, so a flexible storage system that serves a variety of uses is the best. Full-size furniture is better then nursery pieces, which, although cute, have a short practical life. You can recognize cupboards or wardrobes fitted with adjustable rails or shelves as the child grows taller and clothes take more space. Shelves on movable metal bracelets are great for keeping games, and books in order.

Some other solutions include:

1.A chest of drawers for folded clothes and linen.
2.A blanket box or trunk for toys and sports equipment
3.A big basket for dressing-up clothes, soft toys or dolls.
4.Individual stacking plastic crates for organizing toy bricks, or creative equipment such as paints, paper, and crayons.
5.Coat hooks for clothes, and an open display area with shelves for treasured possessions, curious and collections.

If possible, arrange storage so that the child can reach everything. Stow baskets and boxes under beds and keep clothes in lower drawers for easy access. Toys stashed away on upper shelves won’t get played with, or may encourage dangerous mountaineering.
