Fresh Forever

There comes a time when I feel frustrated of my dirty old contact lenses and feel like buying a new one. No matter how much care I take in cleansing the lens, it never becomes clean as the new ones. Just like others, I would’ve thought its common for the contact lenses to become dirty as time goes on, if I had not known about . . .

Today’s Hollywood Body

Today’s Hollywood body for men and women are muscular but lean. It stresses tone over bulk, a six-pack over big pecs and biceps. It’s Brad Pitt. It’s Matt Damon in The Bourne Identity and its sequels. It’s Daniel Craig as James Bond.

Women and Weights

When women tell me they’re scared to lift weights because it will bulk them up and make them look like NFL linebackers, I bring them into my office and show them one of my favorite pictures. It’s a shot of Marilyn Monroe lying on a bench doing dumbbell chest presses.

Muscle Workout

Your body is designed with muscles that oppose each other. It’s how the body stabilizes itself. Your chest muscles in the front of your body oppose your back muscles. This is how the shoulders are stabilized.

Generational Equity Makes It Easier

It takes a lot for one to get the involvement in philanthropic activities. And in these modern days, we seldom see such generous people. But in a recent event conducted by midwestsportsfans.com, it was clear that the people with such a big heart do exist and Generational Equity is one such example. The midwestsportsfan.com had recently conducted an event sponsored by Generational Equity, one of the leaders in Business Evaluation and Strategy Planning which focused on helping more than 50 infants learning swimming for the survival in right situation. One of their selected areas for this year is Sierra Vista apartment complex, which had about 95% of children population.

After the agreement of the sponsorship by Generational Equity, there was a search for the perfect organization that would meet their requirements and achieve the goal of teaching essential swimming skills to kids. It was YMCA, who had provided them with an Eight Week swimming program, which was selected for this rightful event. Generational Equity made sure that all kinds of expenses were covered by them and the parents only had to pay $15 for this event. The collaboration of three biggies – Generational Equity, Midwestsportsfans.com and the YMCA had finally made sure that the children finish their program with good swimming skills.

It’s a great deed by Generational Equity, MidwestSportFans and YMCA in coming forward to help the kids learn one of the essentials of survival. But this doesn’t mean only GE, MWSF and YMCA can do these righteous acts of helping people. Even we can make a big difference in this world with our generosity and helping tendency. To know more about this swimming program conducted by Midwestsportsfan, visit their site. This site has got many interesting articles, including the one briefing about this event and details about the sponsor – Generational Equity.

Surviving Snack Attacks

Cooking is a skill. Snacking is and art. Between beers, look for these healthier alternatives to the standard chips-and-sour-cream dip regimen.

Do the twist
Pretzels are better than chips. So when you’re looking for finger food between brews, pick the basket of pretzels.

Don’t go with the glow
If it leaves an unnatural orange glow on your fingertips, you shouldn’t be eating it.

Buy nuts in their shells
More time spent shelling means less time eating. Shelled nuts are too easy to swallow by the handful and they’re higher in fats than those in the shell. Eat just two handfuls of shelled roasted peanuts and you’ve downed nearly 28 grams of fat. Shell them yourself and you can save 10 grams. Should you find yourself in the vicinity of an open fire, try roasted chestnuts. They have barely any fat.

Look for Louise’s Fat-Free Potato Chips
Most regular chips are fried in shortening. These are baked—and not bad, either/. If you’re in the mood for tortilla chips, make your own low-fat variety. Buy some corn tortillas, cut them into wedges and bake at 375 degree on a baking sheet until crisp. Fat saving: eight grams per ten chips.

Send nacho fat south of the border
Nachos are muy delicioso, but they can also make you muy gordo. So make yourself a heap o’ low-fat cheese nacho: Top a plate of those low-fat tortilla chips with a mound of salsa. Then sprinkle with nonfat Cheddar cheese and broil or microwave just long enough to soften the cheese. Fat savings per serving over standard cheese nachos: nine grams.

Make your own dips
Make your dips using nonfat sour cream or yogurt. Mix in an equal part of salsa—the hotter the better. Jazz it up with lemon, dried herbs, whatever.

Experiencing Fascination

The moment I started searching for a nice tour package to Europe and Asia, I’ve been flooded with offers and I haven’t find a majority of differences in these offers. All of them are more or less the same. Except for the offer from vikingrivercruisers.com – In fact, a cruise is completely different from other regular tour packages. Of course, I had not known about the river cruise before visiting the site – but after knowing about river cruises, I realized I was missing some of the greatest experience in vacations. I’d love to tell everything about these river cruises and their pluses over other type of tours, but its better you take a look at the site for yourself – cause you might find few more interesting things in that site. If these words aren’t enough for you to take a look at river cruise, how about this: - with river cruises, there is no need for you to buckle up things for each and every site you see, in fact there is no need for you to pack the things once unpacked until the cruise is over.

Lodging

Posted by Daniel On 9:27 AM 0 comments
Whether you use the Web or other means to find a place to sleep, you will probably start by already knowing, or asking yourself, what role your lodging is to play in your vacation or business trip. In some cases, the answer may be “anyplace in a reasonable location that is clean, cheap, and has a comfortable bed.” In other cases, you may be looking for a resort hotel with a broad range of amenities, recreation, and on-site events. Or your answer could be anywhere between those two extremes. In any case, your criteria for lodging will, to at least some degree, determine what Web sites will be most useful to you. The general travel agency sites (Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity, etc.) will get you fairly “regular” hotel accommodations and may save you money by packaging a hotel with a flight (or other service). Other sites will get you similar rooms, but their emphasis will be on discounts. If you are a frequent traveler who accumulates “frequent guest” points, you may want to go directly to a specific hotel chain’s site. If you are looking for charm in a comfortable, friendly, laid back surrounding, there are sites for inns and bed-and-breakfasts (B&Bs). If you want the hotel to be your vacation, other sites can find the best resort for you. If “cheap” is your overarching criterion, there are also sites that will get you to a hostel or even “get thee to a convent.” The following sites are grouped along those lines. There are also relevant sites that will not sell you a hotel room but will provide advice and lodging information. As it goes when searching other travel services on the Web, investigate several of these lodging sites. Various sites will emphasize search criteria, provide different kinds of background information on your options, and often offer you exactly the same accommodations at significantly different rates than other sites. For some of the following categories, only a small sampling is provided here, but the examples given are intended to give you a taste of what is available. For example, an Irish example is given for “farmhouse holidays,” but search engines can find similar farmhouse holiday sites in different countries.
